My iPhone 11, 11 Pro, or 11 Pro Max Won't Charge! Here's The Fix

My iPhone 11, 11 Pro, or 11 Pro Max Won't Charge! Here's The Fix

In this article, we're going to show you what to do when your iPhone 11, 11 Pro, or 11 Pro max won't charge.

1. Hard reset your iPhone

The steps are the same for every version of the iPhone and the first step is to try to hard reset your iPhone. A lot of people used to come into the Apple Store and say that their iPhones running charge but what actually had happened is their software had crashed and gotten stuck on a black screen. So the phone was actually still on and they'd be plugging it in and unplugging it but nothing was happening. It wasn't because it would have charged. The software crashed. The solution is a hard reset.

So how do we do that?

Well, we're gonna press and release the volume up button. Press mode let's line down button. press it all the side button. press a little side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen and then you can let go.

If your iPhone has a software problem this can actually take 20-30 seconds. A lot of people would come into the Apple Store after having tried this but they didn't hold the button down for long enough. So they made the journey. And Yeah I just had hold mine for about seconds. That was longer than I expected. So the Apple logo is there. It'll turn back on any second now. And a lot of people are just gonna say Wow that fits the problem. Well if it didn't we have a step two.

2. Check your Lightning cable for damage

So the iPhone 11 Pro and all of them come with the USB-C to Lightning cable. Yes, check with a brand new cable. No damage here. Check it out to that not this is afraid Lightning cable. That is not unlike the ones that we would see all the time. The Apple Store. Just check both ends of your Lightning cable for damage. Try a different cable. Try every cable. Also, make sure you try a different charger too. Or it's possible your charger is what's causing the problem, not your iPhone. Right.

You can use any of the older Chargers or any of the older cables with the iPhone. It's not gonna hurt it just because it came with the new fancy one. Just try one of the old ones. Try friends. Try plugging it into a different outlet. That's the way to do that. Yeah, I still won't charge. The next step.

3. Clean out the Lightning Port

This was another very common reason why iPhones won't charge. Don't try to jam anything in there. Use a toothbrush that you've never used before or an Antistatic brush. Yeah, one of these lines around it might not. But a toothbrush you've never used before is great because you can really get in there and brush it out. Yeah really? Get in there. This phone is brand new. Brand new. Hopefully not come- pocket. Now it's pretty clean.

Avoid using these things

But another thing to keep in mind is just not too you use anything metal because the electronic components in there are sensitive and can be damaged. Thumbtack, some injector tool that we have here. Also, paperclip, don't use those things too. Also, avoid using them like a toothpick because if you get the wood in there and it's splintered and stocks, things can be really hard to get out of there. So my final software troubleshooting step is the DFU restore.

4. DFU restore

This can work. Even if your iPhone won't turn on you can still sometimes get it into DFU mode. Work won't charge. So to do that is a little bit of a process. It's not that hard. If your iPhone still won't charge it's probably time to think about repair options. And while you're thinking about those repair options consider a third-party repair service.

But also if it's a new phone go to Apple. Apple is probably the best bet if your phone is stone under warranty. For sure. Well I mean you just got an iPhone 11 Pro in it won't in charge. It might be defected. Go back to Apple and or your carrier swap it out for a new one. Absolutely.

Most of the time this is something you should go to Apple for but it can't be very expensive. If you're reading this article in 2021 for instance you might wanna check out the third-party. So that is what to do in your iPhone 11, 11 Pro, or 11 Pro max won't charge. If you found it helpful leave me a comment down below if you need any more help.
